Requirements

Completing Grade 10 and older (as of June 2024).

You must be available 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, from approximately 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

You must be available for Pre-Camp training – June 22, 23, 26 & 27

You must provide a copy of a current (within the last 2 years) Criminal Record Check.

You are excited about spending your summer working outdoors with children in a fun and spirited country setting!

Transportation – Daily bussing to and from camp included

During the camp season, free daily bussing to the camp is provided to and from the following areas – Toronto, Beaches, North York, Thornhill, Markham, Richmond Hill, Woodbridge, Vaughan, Aurora, Newmarket, Oak Ridges, East Scarborough, Pickering, Ajax and Whitby.

Swim Staff Requirements

All swim staff must have the following qualifications:

Life Saving Bronze Cross Certification or NLS AND

Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification and/or Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification.

Lifesaving Instructor Certification, NLS, CPR, and First Aid are desirable but not mandatory. Camp must receive photocopies of all your valid certifications no later than June 15, 2024.

Green Acres offers a FREE Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Course – You must have a current Bronze Cross Certification or NLS. You only pay for the certification fee and materials and you MUST commit to a minimum 6 week contract.

Kayla had the most amazing summer! Her favourite activity was the ropes course and she had the best time at the one night getaway to Wahanowin. Both girls have fully absorbed all the GA culture, and they will not stop talking and telling everyone how fun it was! They will definitely be back next year!

My son was in bears for 4 weeks and All stars (Sports Camp) for 2. He had the best time- especially in the sports camp! He left for 2.5 weeks to go to sleepover camp and was happy to go back to the sports camp at Green Acres when he returned.
